We hired Krissy because my husband and I work full time, have 6 kids between us, and had less than 3 months to plan our wedding. Both my husband and I are highly organized and detail-oriented, but despite our best teamwork, as the wedding date drew closer, we found ourselves overwhelmed. We had all the elements of a wedding arranged, but there was nothing holding them together. It was like having all the parts for a car, but not assembled into a well oiled machine. That’s when we met Krissy, whom I describe as the glue, the connective tissue, the thread that brought all the elements together, into the most magical day. At just under 3 weeks before the wedding, she literally came in and absorbed all the stress in between the organized mess, and she did it with grace and cheer. If she ever panicked, she did it undercover, because we sure never felt anything from her other than reassurance and peace of mind. There was never a task she turned down, or didn’t take upon herself, no matter how hectic circumstances were. She was our eyes and ears, diligently and tirelessly working the entire day, to ensure every detail was what we hoped it would be. And she was able to do this with such a personal touch, because she was so connected with us in the weeks leading up to the wedding, familiarizing herself with our vision, our hopes for the day, the details that are most meaningful, the names of the family members (she called every single child by their name, remember that’s 6 kids!). Krissy was not just the wedding coordinator. She was our best friend, our ambassador and confidant-to the point where guests were asking why they hadn’t met this awesome friend of mine before. Personal, yet professional, in just the right proportions.
